A senator from the province of Buenos Aires has initiated a criminal case for public official noncompliance against an individual. The president, Javier Milei, has liked and retweeted this situation on social media, being the chief of Bullrich, who in turn requested the police cars involved in the case. The senator expressed her discontent with the situation: "This is madness. There is a National Government that generates chaos and this situation of desolation, because there is an agenda that they build all the time through social media and TV programs and you have a reality that is cruel and difficult." The provincial Security Minister, Javier Alonso, defended the police work, calling it "forceful." He assured that many insecurity cases are linked to the way we are "coexisting" and with the values, education, and the current economic model. Alonso detailed concrete security measures, such as the distribution of police cars and coverage of urban areas, stating that the fight against crime must be based on facts and investment, not on simplistic phrases. He highlighted that, despite challenges, the Greater Buenos Aires area has lower crime rates than other regions of America. The minister also mentioned financial difficulties that affect security policy due to budget cuts made last year. In that sense, he suggested that the roots of the security problem are related to social coexistence, values, education, and the current economic model.
